Boise High soccer player Miah Mollay earns Gatorade honor

Boise High's Miah Mollay was named Idaho's 2008-09 Gatorade girls soccer player of the year Thursday.

The 5-foot-10 senior forward scored 29 goals and added eight assists as she led the Braves (15-3-2) to a third-place finish in the 5A state tournament in October. The 5A Southern Idaho Conference player of the year had a game-winning goal or assist in 11 of Boise’s 15 wins this season. Mollay, who recently signed a national letter of intent with Arizona State, finished her two-year varsity career with 47 goals and 12 assists. She plays club soccer for Les Bois Soccer Association. more
